Vision

The business plan for the EAP Region focuses on evolving the GDLN into a dynamic, sustainable network:

• delivering a service that is widely acknowledged as increasing development impact by integrating knowledge sharing into the full range of development activities in the region,
• characterized by strong productive partnerships with local, regional and international organizations that have a commitment to the distance learning paradigm and the skills and capacity to support it, generating a steady stream of high value GDLN content,
• DLCs recognized in their host countries as important national resources, with substantial skills and capacity in the distance learning paradigm, providing a channel for interaction with global sources of expertise, and
• a well-established, sustainable, regional co-ordination structure with efficient processes for content development, quality assurance, evaluation and management, recognized as a leader in distance learning.
