João Loução: Managing a Distance Learning CenterJoão Loução, a native of Portugal, served as the first Manager of the Dili Distance Learning Center (DDLC) for 5 years from November 2001 to December 2006. With its infrastructure largely destroyed in the turmoil leading to independence, Timor Leste presented many unique challenges which Joao and his staff overcame with great dedication. Here, Joao shares invaluable advice on his experience managing one of the most successful centers in the region.
