“Sustainable Fishery and Natural Resource Management”, a knowledge-sharing videoconference seminar jointly hosted by the World Bank Tokyo Office, Liberia Office, Tokyo Development Learning Center (TDLC), Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and the Himi City Tourism Association was held on Wednesday, March 27, 2013. The seminar, which connected three locations, Tokyo, Himi in Toyama prefecture, and Liberia via a live videoconference connection was hosted as an official partner activity for the upcoming 5th Tokyo International Conference on African Development, which will be held in Yokohama, Japan in June 2013.
On November 25th, 2010, International Labour Organization (ILO), Aoyama Gakuin University and Tokyo Development Learning Center, the World Bank (TDLC) jointly presented a lecture by Ms. Singh on Child labor Activities in Asia and the Pacific. Afterwards, TDLC’s Program and Knowledge Coordinator, Takiko Koyama interviewed Ms. Simrin Singh who is a Senior Specialist on Child Labor in ILO Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific. International Labour Organization (ILO), Aoyama Gakuin University and The Tokyo Development Learning Center (TDLC) hosted a lecture series “Asian Decent Work Agenda under Global Crisis”. Many positive feedbacks were received from the participants, as this series is one of the rare opportunities to be able to listen to the experience from and ask questions to the specialists who are actively involved in the labor issues in ILO Bangkok regional office or ILO headquarter in Geneva.
