Governing Committee Meetings

The GDLN Asia Pacific Governing Committee oversees the purpose, plans and policies of the association, such as establishing overall plans and policies, supervising the CEO, ensuring sufficient resources for the organization, ensuring compliance to rules and regulations and representing the organization to external stakeholders.

The GDLN AP Governing Committee is comprised of:

• Four representatives of member Distance Learning Centers
• One invitee representing the East Asia and Pacific region of The World Bank
• One invitee representing a key donor or stakeholder, elected by member

The current members of the GDLN Asia Pacific Governing Committee are:

• Colin Lonergan, The World Bank
• Maree Tait, The Australian National University Distance Learning Center
• Pimrumpai Premsmit, The Chulalongkorn University Distance Learning Center
• Ryu Fukui, Manager, Tokyo Development Learning Center
• Xuezhen Sun, West Region Development Office, China Distance Learning Centers’ Network
• Philip Karp, Beijing Distance Learning Center
