Post-Summit Briefing, Presented by Secretary-General of ASEAN, ASEAN Secretariat

Following the conclusion of the 16th ASEAN Summit that took place in Ha Noi on 8-9 April 2010, Dr Surin Pitsuwan, Secretary-General of ASEAN,  presented an overview of the major outcomes from the Summit on 9 April 2010.

Speaking from the Vietnam Development Information Center in Ha Noi, Dr Surin interacted with senior government officials, Ambassadors, the media, civil society, academia, private and business sectors, and international organisations in seven countries—Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Viet Nam—using the Global Development Learning Network (GDLN)‘s video-conference facilities.

The Briefing was organised by the ASEAN Secretariat in collaboration with the World Bank and GDLN in the Asia Pacific.
