TDLCでは、ビデオ会議を活用した子供たちの国際理解プログラム「キッズ・イニシアティブ」開催とともに、教師向けのトレーニングコースを実施しています。
小中学校の教師、教育関係の実務者、指導者及び子供たちの異文化理解のための活動に従事する方々が対象で、より手軽に、より有意義な交流を実現するためのノウハウを中心とした内容です。
講師はIT技術を活用した教育の専門家、クリストファー・タン氏（香港在住）。ビデオ会議による海外からの参加者を交え、国際的な指導者・専門家同士の意見交換の場としてもご利用いただける趣向です。
コースは2007年12月に始まり、全5回。各回3時間で、1回ごとの参加も可能です。ビデオ会議による講義、会場での討議、事例研究、課題があります。

Former President of the Republic of the Philippines Fidel V. Ramos engaged in a discussion with young leaders from 12 countries in the Asia Pacific region for the second session of “Catalysts of Change: An Open Dialogue with the Legendary Leaders of Asia”. Speaking via videoconference from the GDLN affiliate in Manila, the Asian Institute of Management (AIM), Mr. Ramos fielded questions for over 2 hours with humor, sharing anecdotes and wisdom on issues ranging from empowering young people, resolving insurgencies to the future direction of ASEAN.
Of the legendary leaders of Asia, Ramos commented, “They have the gratitude of the people because the record shows they were able to reduce poverty, and they are still doing their best to help. This is the attitude that I have taken as well”. “We may be ex-Prime Minister, ex-President ….but we may be more attractive because now we are ex-rated” he joked.

Catalysts of Change – An Open Dialogue with the Legendary Leaders of Asia” opened on December 20/21, 2007 with an overview of the region’s record given by ASEAN Secretary General Ong Keng Yong and World Bank East Asia Pacific Regional Vice President Jim Adams. The session was moderated by Peter Stephens, World Bank East Asia Pacific Communication Manager.
Organized by the World Bank East Asia Pacific region, ASEAN Secretariat and GDLN Asia Pacific, “Catalysts” is a unique effort to capture the knowledge that senior leaders in the region possess in ways that can inform and guide the leaders of tomorrow. Through videoconference sessions running through 2008, in-depth discussions will be held with leaders that played a central role in this period.
Over 300 young professionals from 12 countries across the Asia Pacific, connecting 19 sites through the GDLN participated and engaged in a Q&A session to analyze and apply lessons learned to their own work today.
