東アジア各国でインフレに対する懸念が高まる中、経済管理上どのようなツールを使って対応すべきか、また貧困層への影響を抑えるための補完的施策は何か。このような疑問に答えるため、世界銀行とGDLN　APは新しいセミナーシリーズを開始します。第1回は「今日のインフレ：グローバルな背景とローカルな解決策」がテーマで、今日的なインフレの理解を深めるため、その原因、影響、政策や他国の経験をもとにしたケース・スタディなどに関する報告・議論を行います。

Earthquake Disaster Mitigation in Asia

A Collaborative Research Project

Throughout 2008

Four Japanese institutions—the Building Research Institute (BRI), National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Prevention, National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies and Mie University—are conducting a research project on Disaster Mitigation in Earthquake Prone Areas in Asia with research institutions across the region, using the GDLN as a platform to strengthen the network and facilitate collaboration.

Hitotsubashi University’s Asian Public Policy Program (APPP) has been using the GDLN to forge ties among alumni across Asia. In a virtual reunion, current master degree students, PhD candidates and faculty at the TDLC are joined by alumni in Beijing, Manila, Jakarta, Hanoi and other locations to discuss recent policy issues in Asia.

The APPP is an international program launched in the year 2000 with an emphasis on economic policy management. Each year, it accepts young professionals from Asia who wish to pursue careers in the public sector, and serves as a center for knowledge exchange between academic researchers, …
